Recently, OpenAI has officially established a special investigation team in response to user feedback about abnormal Codex quota consumption. According to multiple paid ChatGPT users, the weekly quota of Codex has recently experienced a "dramatic drop," and even with almost no activity, the quota can quickly drop from 96% to zero within a short period of time.

In response to this sudden situation, Tibo Sottiaux, the product manager of Codex, has publicly responded. He stated that the team has already initiated an emergency operation room on Sunday of last week to conduct a comprehensive review of the system's backend logs. To alleviate the impact on users, OpenAI has implemented a second hard reset of quotas across the network. The first attempt at a reset on June 27 was not able to completely eliminate this issue, and the technical team is currently working diligently to find the root cause.

For developers and paid users, the current quota anomaly has undoubtedly caused some inconvenience in their workflow. Whether OpenAI will provide compensation for the affected quotas and when the system will return to normal, we will continue to follow the related developments.
