The intelligent mobility experience of Tesla owners in China is about to undergo a significant upgrade. At the 2026 Volcano Engine Original Power Conference, Tesla China officially confirmed that its in-vehicle interaction system will deeply integrate with the
With the implementation of this strategic cooperation, Tesla's voice assistant will move beyond traditional command-based interaction logic, becoming smarter and more capable of global control. According to the internal testing version, future domestic owners will be able to activate the upgraded voice assistant by pressing the voice button on the steering wheel or calling out "Hey, Tesla." The assistant adopts a "division of labor and collaboration" architecture: Dou Bao AI handles various vehicle hardware commands, such as air conditioning adjustment, window control, and navigation route planning; while DeepSeek takes on more complex conversation and question-answering tasks, providing owners with an in-depth interactive experience similar to Grok, and even helping users understand FSD (Full Self-Driving) function commands.

This update is not just a simple accumulation of functions but also represents a deepening of Tesla's localization strategy. In early vehicle infotainment interactions, voice assistants were often limited by preset command libraries, with responses being relatively mechanical. After integrating the Dou Bao Large Model, Tesla's infotainment system now has high-level comprehension capabilities and can provide more direct and efficient feedback tailored to the specific needs of owners, greatly enhancing the immersive experience of human-vehicle dialogue.
Currently, some internal testing software versions have already included an entry point for the Dou Bao AI assistant, indicating that this feature is about to be widely released. As an important layout of Tesla's voice ecosystem, integrating mainstream domestic large models not only brings more localized interaction services for Chinese Tesla owners, but also marks the accelerating penetration of AI large models from smartphones and computers into the core computing scenario of smart cars. For domestic users, this means that in the future, their driving journey will be accompanied by a more locally-oriented and responsive "digital co-pilot."
