Toutiao's AI application, DouBao, has officially launched the "DouBao Pro" service today. Built on its latest DouBao 2.1 series large model, it aims to provide higher-level support for professional users in complex office and productivity scenarios.
The core highlight of this release is the newly introduced "Office Task Mode," which upgrades the large model from the traditional "answer questions" role to a "professional office" role. In this mode, Pro users will directly access the flagship DouBao 2.1Pro model, while free users can also experience the Office Task Mode with the 2.1Turbo model.
In terms of technical capabilities, this Office Task Mode reflects the current trend in the AI industry towards AI Agents (intelligent agents). With clear authorization, DouBao can autonomously decompose work objectives, perform complex actions such as operating the local computer, using the browser, calling specialized Skills packages, and setting up scheduled tasks. Additionally, the system includes an online Office suite and supports the development and deployment of production-grade online application systems with a backend database.
In terms of pricing strategy, DouBao Pro adopts a three-tiered plan, with monthly subscription prices for the standard, enhanced, and advanced packages being 68 yuan, 200 yuan, and 500 yuan respectively. It also offers an educational discount of 38 yuan per month for currently enrolled college students, and special plans for visually impaired individuals' video call needs.
