Apple officially released the iOS 27 system at the recent Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), showcasing its more practical Apple Intelligence edge AI deployment strategy by fully integrating underlying AI capabilities into native apps and services. Compared to previous upgrades focused on Siri's personal conversation interactions, this version of iOS 27 emphasizes a "seamless" system-level intelligent experience, changing users' digital lifestyles by solving real-world scenario pain points.
In terms of specific feature evolution, iOS 27 introduces several practical tools driven by Apple Intelligence. In financial and social scenarios, the system now includes an automatic bill splitting function based on Apple Cash. Users need only take a photo of the receipt, and the AI will automatically extract item names, prices, taxes, and tips for smart group chat distribution. In the security domain, an automatic password update mechanism has been introduced. The AI can proactively identify leaked or weak passwords on the device and upgrade them across sites without manual intervention.

Additionally, the "Messages" app now features a one-click context suggestion function, which can automatically trigger reminders, calendar events, or photo sharing recommendations based on the conversation. In communication and productivity tools, the Call Context feature can directly extract and display background information such as flight confirmation codes from emails within the call interface; the Calendar app supports natural language-based schedule creation; and Shortcuts lowers the technical barrier, allowing users to build automated workflows simply by describing them in natural language.
The Home app also leverages AI to eliminate notification fragmentation, grouping a series of actions into a single event reminder and supporting intelligent search of video clips. For browsing experiences, Safari browser introduced a tab smart organizer that automatically aggregates web pages by theme while fully respecting local privacy protection.
These AI new features are already available in the iOS 27 developer beta version, and an official beta version is expected to be released soon, with full release coming this fall along with the official version. This series of subtle functional matrix indicates that Apple's AI ambition is not about pursuing a showy chatbot, but rather making software evolve to be more logical and efficient. This approach of subtly integrating AI technology into the existing ecosystem is setting a foundational model reference for the next phase of evolution in the smartphone industry.
