Eclix, the ecosystem brand of Ecosystem, announced on June 10th a deep collaboration with a leading domestic large model manufacturer. It is expected to release the first generation of AI phones in September 2026 and officially launch them before the Double 11 shopping festival that same year. The product will focus on the high-end market above 5000 yuan. The core team's R&D work is nearing completion and is about to enter the system testing phase.
The phone, internally called "Project Quasar (Starlight Project)," will take an AI Agent as its native system kernel, adopting a software and hardware OS integration approach and a full-stack self-research route. It aims to create a new interaction paradigm driven by natural language, multimodal interaction, and intent prediction. Unlike current market solutions that commonly use "AI simulated clicks on apps" or "phone + AI assistant" as transitional approaches, this product can achieve native task flow without simulating manual operations, completely breaking through the ecological restrictions of traditional applications (Apps).
This disruptive project is backed by experienced industry operators. The Eclix phone team was established by Yu Lei, former vice president of Gionee Group, who officially joined MOVA in March 2026 and took charge of the phone and AI hardware business.
From an industry perspective, Eclix's strategic move marks the shift of AI hardware from the "AI+shell" stage, where AI is an additional function, to the new era of "AI Native," where AI is the underlying system architecture. With the explosive growth of edge-side large model capabilities, app-free hardware forms will not only reshape human-computer interaction logic but also bring profound restructuring and impact to the software ecology and business models of traditional smartphones.
