As major global tech giants vigorously promote the "comprehensive AI transformation" of search engines, some users who are accustomed to traditional search models are showing clear resistance. This market change has directly led to a significant increase in traffic to DuckDuckGo's privacy-focused search services.

In response to this trend, DuckDuckGo has announced the official release of a new extension for mainstream browsers. With this plugin, users can set the "no AI search page" as their default search engine with one click. The official has clearly stated that users will not receive any AI-generated summaries or overviews during their daily searches, thus regaining a pure and traditional web search experience.

Related statistical data shows that the demand for "non-AI" experiences is rapidly translating into actual user growth. In late May, the installation volume of this browser in the U.S. market increased by 21% compared to the previous week, with particularly strong growth on the iOS mobile platform, reaching an increase of 33%.

However, this move does not mean that the organization completely rejects artificial intelligence technology. A relevant official stated that the technology itself is not problematic, but AI should not be forcibly embedded into every user's search process by default. The choice should be returned to the users. Although it has also launched its own AI robot service, the system allows users to permanently disable it according to their personal preferences.
