On May 28, Pinduoduo released a new notice, formally declaring war on illegal products and services related to AI. The notice explicitly prohibits platform merchants from publishing and selling AI exam prediction, AI data poisoning, AI management of online accounts, AI account creation, and the resale of AI virtual accounts, as well as related services, courses, and tools.

This round of governance focuses particularly on the examination field. Products with AI exam prediction tools as their core selling point, as well as disguised services such as selling so-called "exam prediction papers" under different subjects, have been included in the key cleanup scope.

In fact, this is the second time this month that the platform has intensified its efforts against AI content. In mid-May, the platform had already issued a "Special Governance Notice on Removing AI-Generated Identifiers," targeting tutorial information on how to remove AI identifiers and providing services that offer illegal "de-identification" tools, aiming to fully implement the compliance requirements of the "Artificial Intelligence Generated and Synthesized Content Identification Measures."

Aside from the special governance in the AI field, comprehensive compliance actions have also been actively advancing this year. According to incomplete statistics, since the beginning of the year, the platform has proactively introduced more than 40 comprehensive governance measures, covering core areas such as product access, qualification review, advertising management, and intellectual property protection. Regarding the entry standards for merchants, the platform not only refined the operating qualification requirements for food-related merchants, but also announced on May 24 that it would regularly verify brand overseas circulation and production certificates, thereby strengthening the traceability system for imported goods.

In terms of refined management of key categories, food, blind boxes, cosmetics, financial products, publications, and AI services have become the focus of the first half of the year. To date, the platform has initiated more than 20 special governance actions, covering specific products such as Pinduoduo beans, portable WiFi, fresh lights, and children's cosmetics, as well as emerging consumption scenarios such as cross-border e-commerce and food live streaming.

The platform stated that it will continue to promote the routine development of ecological governance, adhere to building a compliance defense from the source, and create a safer and healthier shopping environment for consumers.
