Amid the intensifying global competition in the AI field, the latest data shows that China's large model weekly usage has exceeded that of the United States for three consecutive weeks, demonstrating strong technological capabilities. According to the latest data from OpenRouter, during the week of May 11 to May 17, the total global usage of AI large models reached an astonishing 26.9 trillion Tokens, an increase of 4.7% compared to the previous week. In this growth wave, China's large models contributed 7.693 trillion Tokens, while those of the United States contributed 4.24 trillion Tokens. This indicates that China's usage has reached 1.81 times that of the United States, further solidifying its global leading position.
In the global usage ranking, the top two AI large models are both from China: Tencent's Hy3 preview and DeepSeek-V4-Flash. Notably, Hy3 preview's weekly usage reached 2.66 trillion Tokens, with a staggering 210% growth compared to the previous week. In the previous two weeks, Hy3 preview (free) had consistently ranked first. After the free trial period ended, Hy3 preview officially transitioned to a paid model and once again took the top spot, which is a clear demonstration of Tencent's successful strategy in the AI field.
From the overall data, the continuous growth of China's large models not only reflects ongoing technological advancements but also highlights the strong market demand for these technologies. As a key participant in technological innovation, Tencent has played a crucial role in promoting the practical application of AI technologies, attracting significant user attention and usage.
As AI technology continues to evolve, we can expect more companies and organizations to accelerate their strategies and participate in this competitive field. Whether it's technological progress or market feedback, they are important driving forces for the development of the entire industry.
