On May 15th, an application named "Toast" quietly launched. This is an exploratory vibe coding product incubated internally by Tencent, positioned as an "application generation and inspiration co-creation platform" - users simply need to describe their ideas in natural language, and the AI will automatically decompose the functions, generate a prototype, and finally package it into an App and install it on a mobile phone. The Android version of the App has been officially released on the App Store and the official website, while the iOS version will be released later.
Users just need to input a few sentences describing their ideas, and the AI can automatically complete function decomposition, generate an application prototype preview, and one-click package to generate an APP that supports local download and installation, realizing "bringing your creative ideas to life."
According to the official website, the Toast 1.0 version provides four capabilities:
Create Applications: Users input their ideas → AI automatically breaks them down into functional points → multiple rounds of dialogue to adjust details → one-click packaging into an APK (Android installation package), which can be downloaded directly to the phone for use.
Social Sharing: The Apps created by users can be shared with others through links, QR codes, or installation packages.
Inspiration Square: Users can publicly share their applications as templates; others can one-click create the same app, and also "add inspiration" to start a creative relay, allowing good ideas to develop new gameplay.
Application Search: Click on "Ask Toast," you can search for inspirations published by others, or describe your needs to let the AI find an application that meets your requirements.
Currently, the AI application generation field is attracting internet giants to accelerate their entry. In terms of product positioning, "Toast" does not overemphasize the reduction of technical barriers, but focuses on two core aspects: "inspiration realization" and "co-creation," aiming to allow anyone without any coding background to turn a thought into a real and usable App. Users can publish their created applications on the square for others to experience, and other users can also perform secondary creation based on existing application templates. In the future, it will also support listing and downloading, forming a closed-loop ecosystem of "idea → application → distribution → co-creation."
During the public beta testing of Toast AI, it will be available for free for a limited time. Later, more opportunities will be provided through sharing tasks.
