Ant Financial's AI global business has made new progress. Recently, Ryt Bank, the first AI-native bank in Southeast Asia supported by Ant Financial, announced that its user base has exceeded 1.2 million, with over 25 million transactions processed. Monthly transaction volume has grown more than 35 times since its launch, showing strong growth momentum. On May 14, the project was selected as the 2026 Malaysia Best AI Customer Experience Award winner by The Asian Banker.
The bank was jointly established by YTL Group and Sea Limited, and holds a digital banking license in Malaysia. Since its inception, it has fully built its business processes, customer experience, and risk control systems with AI as the core driving force. Through its built-in smart assistant, Ryt AI, users can make payments and transfers, manage daily expenses and bills through chat. It is reported that nearly half of Ryt Bank's users have used the Ryt AI feature, and users who use the AI function have a two-fold reuse rate compared to those who do not use it.
Wilson Soon, CEO of Ryt Bank, said that AI capabilities are the core driving force for its growth, and Ant Financial's technical support "has played a key role" in its development. It is reported that Ant Financial provides AI technical support for Ryt Bank, covering modules such as customer service, risk control, and experience. Notably, Ant Financial's ZOLOZ eKYC capability has reduced account opening time from several days to as fast as two minutes, improving user experience while ensuring account and fund security.
