Guangdong Province Adds 6 Newly Registered Generative AI Services, Tencent Music and Other Enterprises Listed

The Guangdong network information authorities, in collaboration with relevant units, have actively promoted the innovative development and standardized application of generative artificial intelligence services according to the requirements of the Interim Measures for the Administration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services. They have conducted registration work for generative artificial intelligence services. According to the latest announcement, as of May 11, 2026, Guangdong has added 6 new generative artificial intelligence services that have completed registration, bringing the total number of registered services to 53. Companies such as Tencent Music and Gree Electric Appliances are included.

To further strengthen the management of generative artificial intelligence services and ensure their safety and compliance, the responsibility of service providers has been emphasized. Service providers that directly use the capabilities of registered large models through API interfaces or other methods, and provide services with public opinion attributes or social mobilization capabilities to the general public within China, must fulfill the registration procedures with the local network information authorities. This measure aims to increase service transparency and safeguard public interests.

At the same time, all generative artificial intelligence applications or features that have gone live must clearly indicate the obtained online number in a prominent position or on the product details page, so that users can clearly identify and understand the legality and compliance of the service they are using.
