Leading company in embodied intelligence, Vbot Weita Power, recently announced a pre-A round financing of nearly 500 million yuan. The round was led by Dongfang Jiafu, Huatai Zijin, and Fosun Ruizheng, with additional investments from institutions such as Shangqi Capital under the SAIC Group, and all existing shareholders have also increased their stakes. This financing has set a new record for the largest single investment in the global consumer-level embodied intelligence sector. On May 8, Vbot's first product, "Super Dog," officially started mass production and delivery. The first batch of 500 units has been completed and shipped, marking the official transition of embodied intelligent robots from laboratories to everyday life spaces.

As the world's first smart robot dog without remote control, launched in December 2025, Vbot's product has demonstrated strong market appeal during its pre-sale period, thanks to core capabilities such as full-scenario companionship, autonomous carrying, and AI filming. Data shows that the product received a total of 6,540 pre-orders within the limited pre-sale period, with a pre-sale amount of nearly 100 million yuan, setting a new sales record for high-end embodied intelligence products. Currently, Vbot has completed offline store layouts in key cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, and plans to increase monthly production capacity to over 2,500 units by June to accelerate the formation of a user closed loop.
In terms of technological development, Vbot is transitioning from quadrupedal forms to full-size humanoid robots. Dr. Yu Yinan, the founder, pointed out that the real-world data loop built through large-scale mass production is the core of achieving physical AI evolution. In the next phase, the company will focus on research and development around the hand-foot integrated world model, Agentic OS embodied operating system, and general service capabilities. This transformation from vertical tools to general intelligent agents not only proves the commercial viability of embodied intelligence but also signals that the industry is accelerating its shift from pure hardware manufacturing to building an AI ecosystem in the physical world.
