WeChat Official Account Platform has recently released new management rules targeting "non-human automated content creation," aiming to maintain the originality of the content ecosystem. Multiple creators have reported that articles on their backends were bulk-deleted due to being identified as automatically generated, marking the practical implementation phase of the platform's regulation against AI misuse.

Clear Three Violation Red Lines
The new regulations explicitly prohibit using AI, scripts, or APIs to replace real people in creating and publishing content. Specific violation scenarios include: AI-generated or rewritten content completely detached from human expression, mass continuous publishing through program hosting, and spreading tutorials or services for such automated content creation.
Even if some creators claim they only used third-party formatting tools for import or published AI technology tutorials, if the content characteristics meet the "non-human automation" standard, it will still trigger the system's violation judgment. The platform emphasizes that the content must carry the genuine thoughts and expressions of the creators.
Severe Penalties to Purify the Ecosystem
For accounts violating the rules, WeChat will impose graded penalties based on the severity of the violations. Light violations may result in traffic restrictions or direct deletion of the relevant articles, while severe violations could lead to account function restrictions or permanent bans. The platform will not tolerate automated production content diluting the value of original content.
This move is seen as an important signal that official accounts are returning to the essence of "content is king." In the context of widespread AI tools, WeChat is using technological means and rule constraints to force creators to retain the bottom line of manual review and emotional involvement while using tools for assistance.
