The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the latest data today showing that during the 2026 Spring Festival, China's communication network operated smoothly, and mobile internet traffic saw rapid growth. Notably, the "Artificial Intelligence +" initiative deeply empowered digital life during the holiday period, with innovative applications such as AI New Year greetings and AI New Year celebrations becoming popular, adding a highlight to this year's Spring Festival.

Mobile Internet Traffic Reaches New Highs: During the nine-day Spring Festival holiday (from February 15 to 23), the cumulative mobile internet traffic reached 87.83 million TB, an increase of 18.7% compared to the previous year on a comparable basis. The traffic peak was reached on the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, with nearly 1 million TB of data processed in one day.
Leading Apps Maintain Dominance: Applications such as Douyin, WeChat, Kuaishou, Tencent Video, Bilibili, and Xiaohongshu remain the main consumers of traffic, contributing nearly 70% of the total network traffic.
Deep Penetration of AI: Telecommunications companies have launched AI creation and intelligent interaction services by leveraging cloud, network, and computing capabilities.
