Recent discussions about "large models devouring applications" have raised market concerns. Wu Xinhong, CEO of Meitu, responded to this at the annual meeting, stating that the relationship between general large models and vertical applications is more about synergistic effects rather than simple competition.

Wu Xinhong compared large models to a "Swiss Army knife," capable of handling general tasks but limited in efficiency within specific scenarios; while applications are "specialized tools," able to accurately solve essential needs. He pointed out that the moat of the application layer lies in deep exploration of high-value vertical scenarios, solving the long-tail demand of the "last mile" and occupying users' minds.

He emphasized that current general large models have limitations in conversational interaction and are difficult to cover specialized areas such as industry SOPs and high-precision editing. Meitu will focus on building a vertical scenario image application platform, using professional tools to unleash the capabilities of large models.
