With the explosion of AI agents, how to make it easier for users to interact with AI has become a focal point in the industry. Recently, the startup Linq announced a $20 million Series A funding round. This round was led by TQ Ventures, with Mucker Capital and some angel investors also participating. The funds will be used to expand the team, develop new marketing strategies, and continue to focus on its core technologies.
Linq initially started with digital business card services. After several business transformations, it found a new growth point in February 2025: providing native communication capabilities for enterprises based on iMessage and RCS (Rich Communication Services). Through its API, companies can avoid the cheap feel of traditional SMS "green bubbles" and communicate directly with users through iMessage's "blue bubbles." This means users don't need to install any new applications to use advanced features like group chats, emojis, and voice messages within the familiar SMS interface.
Last autumn, an AI assistant called Poke became popular on the iMessage platform, significantly increasing market demand for Linq's infrastructure. A large number of AI developers want to use its interface to embed complex chatbots directly into users' native messaging apps. Elliott Potter, CEO of Linq, said that users are already tired of the constant emergence of new apps, and the level of AI intelligence is now sufficient to support tasks such as scheduling and task management within simple dialogue interfaces.
Currently, Linq's platform processes over 30 million messages per month, and its customer base has grown by 132% compared to the previous quarter. Although the current business is highly dependent on Apple's ecosystem, Linq plans to expand its services to global mainstream social channels such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and Discord, with the goal of becoming the infrastructure layer in the field of conversational technology.
Key Points:
💰 Funding Progress: Linq completed a $20 million Series A funding round, aimed at building an infrastructure that allows AI assistants to be seamlessly integrated into native social apps.
📲 Product Core: Through an API, AI assistants can exist in iMessage and RCS in the form of "native bubbles," solving the problem of "APP installation fatigue" for users.
🚀 Business Growth: Driven by the popularity of the AI assistant Poke, Linq's monthly message processing volume has exceeded 30 million, and its customer base has seen explosive growth.
