NIO has once again made a big move in the field of artificial intelligence.
In Li Bin's vision, 2026 will be a crucial year for NIO to "turn around" through AI. On one hand, NIO will carry out three major version updates, aiming to bring its self-developed intelligent driving stack technology back to the top of the industry; on the other hand, AI will no longer be limited to the in-vehicle system, but will penetrate into R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance, among other business areas, to enhance operational efficiency through systematic empowerment.
Looking back at the past year, NIO achieved a sales rebound in the second half of 2025, thanks to models like the L90 and the new ES8. Especially the delivery of high-margin models in the fourth quarter brought the company a glimpse of profitability. Looking ahead, Li Bin emphasized that the company must maintain an "entrepreneurial mindset," using AI to achieve "do more with less," while strictly controlling costs, aiming for a 40%-50% annual growth target.
Key Points:
🤝 Expert Assembly: NIO has established an "Artificial Intelligence Technology Committee" consisting of nearly 30 experts, promoting the implementation of AI across the entire business chain through cross-departmental collaboration.
🚗 Intelligent Driving Return: The company plans to bring its intelligent driving technology back to the top tier of the industry through three major version upgrades in 2026.
📈 Efficiency First: Li Bin advocates empowering the entire R&D and manufacturing process with AI, aiming to achieve stable growth while reducing cost ratios.
