Regarding this merger, Graphite stated clearly that even after joining Cursor, Graphite will continue to operate as an independent product and will gain strong resources and technical support from Cursor. Both parties have clear core goals: through technological integration, to create a "end-to-end" AI development platform covering the entire process of code writing, code review, and final merging.
Merrill Lutsky, co-founder and CEO of Graphite, pointed out that the essence of this collaboration is a powerful combination. In the coming months, both sides will focus on deep product integration. Specifically, Graphite's AI Reviewer (AI reviewer) will be functionally merged with Cursor's Bugbot (code error finder). Meanwhile, Graphite will also leverage Cursor's expertise in code large models to further enhance its existing AI automation features.
