According to AIbase, YouTube has recently taken strong measures against AI-generated fake content. According to Deadline, the platform has officially banned two well-known channels, Screen Culture and KH Studio. These channels previously used AI technology to mass-produce fake movie trailers, attracting over 2 million subscribers and more than 10 billion views.

Investigations found that the operational model of these channels usually involved mixing real movie clips with AI-generated images and voiceovers to create convincing "official-looking" previews. As early as early 2025, YouTube had suspended their ad revenue due to misleading metadata, and at that time, the channel owners attempted to requalify for monetization by adding tags such as "fan edits" or "concept videos."

However, once they regained profitability, these channels quickly reverted to their old ways, removing disclaimers and using misleading titles to attract traffic. A YouTube spokesperson, Jack Malon, stated that due to these channels violating the platform's policies on spam and misleading metadata again, the official decision was to permanently terminate the partnership.

Notably, such AI-based spam channels not only mislead audiences but also involve complex copyright and interest chains. Previous investigations revealed that some Hollywood studios claimed rights to these fake videos through the Content ID system, thereby indirectly capturing ad revenue without shutting down the channels. This latest move by YouTube to completely ban these channels is not only a strong crackdown on AI-generated fake content but also an inevitable outcome following pressure from copyright holders like Disney and the implementation of Google's new AI labeling policy in 2025.
