With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), it has profoundly changed our way of life and work. The latest Harvard Youth Opinion Survey shows that although young people frequently use AI, their concerns about the future are also increasing. The survey found that 59% of respondents aged 18 to 29 believe AI is threatening their job prospects, with 26% feeling the threat is "very significant."

In this survey, 44% of young people said that the popularity of AI has made future jobs more meaningless. At the same time, 52% of respondents trust AI and are willing to use it to complete academic and work tasks, showing their dependence on AI. Although most young people use AI more than once a week, they also feel that their irreplaceability is weakening.

The survey also points out that as AI becomes more widespread, job content tends to become homogenized, which weakens the competitive advantage of young people. Many feel that professional skills that once required time to accumulate have lost their uniqueness with the help of AI, causing confusion about their sense of value.

Facing these changes, young people not only need to think about how to use AI tools but also re-examine their unique value and abilities. Although future jobs still exist, the number of people needed may decrease, thus intensifying young people's anxiety.

In this era where people both rely on and feel threatened by AI, young people's attitudes toward work are quietly changing. The rise of AI forces this generation to think early about their position in the future job market and the unique value they can offer.
