Google has recently launched the AI Plus subscription service in India, aimed at providing users with access to a broader range of AI models and tools. Users can experience the latest AI technologies through the Gemini app and various Google services. Vikas Kansal, a Google product leader, said in a blog post: "We are happy to see Indian users using our AI tools in various ways, and we hope more people can benefit from these technological advancements."
The highlights of the AI Plus subscription plan include access to the latest Gemini3Pro model, as well as the image generation and editing system Nano Banana Pro. Users will not only be able to generate videos within the Gemini app but also use creative tools like Flow. Additionally, Gemini will be integrated with Google apps such as Gmail and Docs.
Subscribers will receive 200GB of cloud storage space, which can be used across services like Photos, Drive, and Gmail, and can be shared with up to five family members. The monthly fee for the service is ₹399, while new users can enjoy a promotional price of ₹199 for the first six months.
This launch comes at a time when global AI companies are expanding their operations in India. Recently, OpenAI also launched the ChatGPT Go program in India, offering free access to its latest models and image and document analysis tools for one year. Google previously partnered with Jio to provide 18 months of free access to Gemini Pro for 5G users, while increasing the limits for image and video generation and offering 2TB of cloud storage.
