According to an internal memo, CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, informed all employees on Monday that the company has entered a "red alert" state due to increasing threats from Google and other AI competitors.
Mr. Altman's move aims to mobilize more resources to focus on improving its flagship product ChatGPT. He stated that in order to concentrate on core competition, OpenAI plans to postpone some non-core initiatives, such as an advertising business that is currently being planned.
