Recently, the Douyin App received a major update, adding an exciting voice conversation feature that supports four authentic dialects: Cantonese, Sichuan dialect, Northeastern dialect, and Shaanxi dialect. Users can simply send simple text or voice instructions in the Douyin chat box to enjoy the fun of dialect conversations using the latest "Sweet Peach" voice.

This new feature is based on Douyin's dialect migration technology, allowing users to fluently use multiple dialects with a single voice. In addition, the feature has the ability to think and can flexibly switch dialects according to the user's intention. After testing, Douyin can accurately recognize the speech and vocabulary of related dialects and respond naturally and smoothly in the dialect. This function is particularly beneficial for users who are not familiar with Mandarin, especially elderly groups who are used to speaking dialects, greatly improving communication efficiency.

In addition to these four dialects, Douyin can also understand up to 18 dialects, including Shanghainese and Nanking dialect. This is made possible by its ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) technology, which significantly improves the accuracy and efficiency of recognition.
