According to the latest report from Bloomberg, Apple plans to release the iOS 27 operating system in 2026, primarily focusing on improving system performance and artificial intelligence (AI) features, rather than introducing a large number of new functions. In recent years, Apple has provided users with many fresh experiences through the introduction of the "Liquid Glass" interface, but the strategy for iOS 27 is clearly different. Apple has decided to focus on improving system quality and performance.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman mentioned in his "Power On" briefing that this strategy is very similar to that of Mac OS X Leopard, which was launched in 2009, as it also focused on optimizing software quality and underlying performance. Notably, this strategy will not only apply to iOS 27, but will also extend to multiple operating systems such as macOS 27, visionOS 27, tvOS 27, and watchOS 27.
