Google's upcoming Gemini 3 has already caused a buzz in the developer community through the Canvas feature. Internal testing shows that the model can seamlessly integrate "Minecraft" with tower defense mechanics into an interactive web game, and can also replicate a Switch emulator with a screen in a single file and run Pokémon, being rated as "the strongest frontend AI in history."
Exposure cases currently include: generating a "new brutalist" responsive website with a single sentence, visualizing a black hole, an interactive fan, and a YouTube clone that can play videos. All outputs are single HTML files that can be directly run in Chrome. SVG capabilities have also improved, with the drawn iPhone and Xbox controller eliminating vector seam issues, and animation frame rates and detail control surpassing Claude 4.5 Sonnet and GPT-5.1-Thinking.
In the market, Google CEO Sundar Pichai hinted at the imminent announcement of Gemini 3 with two "thoughtful" emojis; Berkshire Hathaway has also unusually increased its investment by 4.3 billion dollars, making Alphabet one of its top ten holdings. Buffett is said to have decided to buy after witnessing the model complete the migration from Python to Rust in one go. Internal Google documents show that the Gemini 3 family will include Pro, Flash, and Ultra versions, using a MoE architecture, with the context window expanded to millions of tokens, and it is expected to be officially released on the 22nd of this month.
