According to Z Potentials, AI application company LiblibAI recently announced the successful completion of a $130 million Series B funding round. The funding was jointly led by Sequoia China, CMC Capital, and a strategic investor, with existing shareholders Shunwei Capital, Source Code Capital, Mingshi Venture, and Yingsai Capital also making additional investments. Yuanzhi Capital continued to serve as the exclusive financial advisor for this funding round. This is currently the largest financing in the AI application sector within the domestic capital market, marking that the AI investment boom is shifting from the underlying models to the application layer.
According to the information, LiblibAI, established at the end of 2023, has rapidly grown into China's largest AI application platform, thanks to its leading position in multimodal models and creative communities. The platform integrates various multimodal capabilities, including image, video, 3D, and LoRA training, and is committed to covering the entire AI workflow from idea generation to visual design and dynamic video production. Currently, LiblibAI has nurtured over 20 million AI creators, covering multiple professional visual scenarios such as illustration, photography, e-commerce, posters, and IP.
In the current market environment where AI foundational models are becoming increasingly similar, LiblibAI has successfully stood out with its strategy of "tool integration + community ecosystem." The platform not only aggregates globally leading open-source and closed-source video and image generation models but also forms a unique model-scene-creator co-creation ecosystem through lightweight training and creator incentive mechanisms.
After this funding round, LiblibAI plans to accelerate its global expansion and further build a global creator co-creation multimodal content ecosystem. The company is committed to empowering creation and actively seeking like-minded individuals to join the team, together witnessing the future of the creative industry in the AI era.
Notably, LiblibAI will soon release its 2.0 version, upgrading the "aggregation tools" to an "AI professional creation studio," further enhancing video generation capabilities, supporting multi-model generation and professional-level special effects templates, aiming to achieve an end-to-end experience from inspiration to final production, and setting new standards for AI video production.
