The State Council's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) officially launched the "Renewal Community" open-source platform for artificial intelligence during the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC). The platform aims to gather the strength of central enterprises and the entire industry chain, creating an open innovation carrier for artificial intelligence accessible to society.
The "Renewal Community" for artificial intelligence was initially initiated by 25 organizations including central enterprises, private enterprises, new research institutions, universities, and standardization bodies. The platform focuses on six core functions: "computing power, models, data, domestic products, scenarios, and special zones," aiming to integrate key elements of artificial intelligence and open up core application scenarios. Through an application-driven model, the platform will work together to promote the construction of a domestic artificial intelligence ecosystem.
To date, the "Renewal Community" platform has made significant progress, successfully gathering 244 industry-specific small models and 158 high-quality datasets. In addition, the platform has actively created a series of specialized industry zones, including a domestic product zone, embodied intelligence zone, and smart grid zone, to meet specific needs for artificial intelligence technology in different industries.
