AI Programming - Building GPT Plugins Using Function Call

Anthropic released its flagship large model Claude Opus 4.8 on May 29th. It maintains the original price while focusing on upgrading intelligent agent programming, complex logical reasoning, and multi-domain knowledge work capabilities. Test feedback shows that the model performs more stably in daily use, with sharper judgment, especially excelling at handling complex multi-step tasks.
AI programming company Cursor faced obstacles in its quest for several billion dollars in funding, with its $5 billion valuation deterring several later-stage investment firms. Previously, SpaceX had shown interest in acquiring it for $6 billion, but top funds including Iconiq have clearly rejected the offer. The main reason for the cold funding climate is that global capital has already completed its initial setup in the AI sector.
SpaceX announced a special agreement, planning to acquire the AI programming platform Cursor for $6 billion. If the acquisition fails, it will pay $1 billion for AI collaboration. This move aims to strengthen its AI capabilities and prepare for an IPO.
Google DeepMind established an elite Gemini team led by Sebastian Borgeaud, aiming to tackle complex programming challenges and enhance AI engineering practical capabilities. Google co-founder Sergey Brin has shown high attention and personally participated in the project development, demonstrating the company's determination to catch up with the Claude model.
Former Meta engineer Caleb Leak successfully trained his 9-pound dog Momo to use the Claude Code to develop a complete game. By connecting a Raspberry Pi 5 Bluetooth keyboard, the random typing of the dog was filtered by the "DogKeyboard" program to convert into valid code input, demonstrating the further reduction of AI programming barriers and the potential for fun applications.
