Honor Releases AI Large Model Magic Model with Platform-Level AI System MagicOS 8.0


At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Wang Ai, Chief Product Officer of Honor, demonstrated the technical breakthroughs of the MagicGUI large model. This open-source large model enables the transformation of an intent-driven operating system, solves the challenges of cross-scenario adaptability, and builds an open AI terminal ecosystem. The technology can enhance the intelligence level of devices, achieve seamless user experiences, and support developers in innovating applications. Honor plans to promote the deep integration of AI with life, leading the development of intelligent lifestyles.
Recently, the Honor YOYO Smart Agent Store announced the official launch of the DeepSeek-R1 trial version, bringing a brand new intelligent experience to Honor phone users. As long as users have their Honor phone system version at MagicOS 8.0 or above and upgrade the YOYO Assistant to version 80.0.1.503 or above, they can be among the first to experience this feature.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Tencent Holdings Limited and Honor Device Co., Ltd. announced on Friday that they will engage in a long-term strategic cooperation in the fields of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. The two parties will collaborate extensively, leveraging Honor's capabilities in terminals, AI, and ecosystem development, and combining these with Tencent's resources in cloud computing, content platforms, and gaming technology. In this partnership, Honor will utilize Tencent's big data analysis and search tools, which will greatly enhance Honor's data processing capabilities. Additionally, both sides plan to jointly develop a coding assistant aimed at benefiting Honor's workforce.
During the 2024 World Internet Conference held today in Wuzhen, Honor CEO Zhao Ming shared his vision for the future development of mobile phones. He stated that by 2027, phones are expected to be able to incorporate large AI models with 100 billion parameters. This advancement will enable phones to learn, understand, and predict user behaviors and intentions, thereby providing users with more personalized arrangements for their lives and work.
