On October 9th, DouBao officially announced that "DouBao Work" has received dual updates: the task mode now adds a canvas feature and integrates a new image model, Seedream 5.0 Flash; meanwhile, the DouBao 2.1 Lite (version 0921) model has been officially launched in DouBao Work, focusing on lower quota consumption and faster delivery.

The canvas feature is designed for complex creative tasks: users can place materials, plans, and creative results on the same infinite canvas, allowing them to view, compare, and organize them anytime; after generation, they can continue to adjust text, color schemes, and layouts, editing from overall style to local details step by step, and offering operations such as quick referencing, quick editing, quick generation, and layer editing.

In terms of usage, users can either let images, videos, and HTML automatically import into the same canvas within the "Creative Design" or "Creative Video" skills in the task mode, or create a blank canvas with one click using the "Create Canvas" skill. The addition of Seedream 5.0 Flash provides more style and visual expression options for image generation.

In terms of the model, DouBao 2.1 Lite is positioned for high-frequency office scenarios, delivering faster results and consuming fewer quotas for daily tasks such as Q&A, document writing, table processing, and PPT creation. Official demonstrations show its stable performance in table processing; this model excels in image and video audio understanding, with superior multimodal comprehensive capabilities, significantly enhancing user experience in actual multimodal scenarios such as education and office work.

Users can download or upgrade to the latest version of DouBao Work and select the "DouBao 2.1 Lite (new version 0921)" model to experience it. In the model selection list of DouBao Work, this version is listed alongside DouBao 2.1 Turbo and DouBao 2.1 Pro, and supports adjusting the reasoning intensity, making it easier to flexibly balance cost and performance.

This update continues the industry trend of large model manufacturers deeply integrating multimodal generation capabilities with productivity workflows.
