On August 27, Google announced significant feature upgrades to its conversational search experience "AI Mode," officially launching a series of new features such as flight price tracking, hotel booking assistance, and viewing points/mileage prices. This update marks Google's acceleration in building AI Mode into a full-process AI travel agent, expanding its capabilities from single information retrieval to actual travel planning and transaction execution.

In terms of specific functionality, users need only input their travel time and destination in AI Mode, and the system can integrate real-time prices and recommended options from over 300 airlines and travel websites, supporting the creation of itineraries or setting up price tracking alerts, with related price change notifications covering more than 180 countries and regions worldwide.

In the hotel scenario, AI Mode supports recommending accommodations with reviews based on user preferences and can seamlessly jump to the "Continue on Google" interface of partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott, and Hilton, completing payments via Google Pay, while subsequent services and order management remain handled by the booking platform.

Additionally, global users can now directly query through natural language the specific amounts for redeeming flights and room nights using airline miles or hotel points. With generative AI deeply integrated with commercial transactions, this strategic move will redefine consumers' travel decision-making chain, driving the search experience towards an intelligent Agent with closed-loop execution capabilities.
