A child psychiatrist in North Carolina has been sentenced to prison for producing, possessing, and transporting child sexual abuse material. Tatum used artificial intelligence software to secretly record his patients and create illegal images and videos. Prosecutors argued that his actions caused harm to children, resulting in a 40-year prison sentence and a 30-year period of supervised release. Trial evidence included images of minors altered using AI software to change their attire, as well as secretly recorded videos of minors.
