The Claude series of large models from Anthropic are now fully available on Microsoft Foundry and are officially hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This strategic partnership means that enterprise customers can directly call the Claude models through their existing Azure accounts, fully reusing Microsoft's mature identity authentication, network configuration, and governance systems, significantly simplifying enterprise procurement and compliance processes while consolidating the usage of Claude into Azure billing.
In terms of functionality, this service not only supports core capabilities of Claude such as prompt caching and extended thinking, but also gives customers the ability to choose the data residency region, to meet compliance requirements in different regions.
Notably, this model base runs on the NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra system, which provides powerful computing power, enabling it to efficiently handle complex logical reasoning and multi-step tasks. Currently, several enterprises, including Bolt and Momentic, have built production systems based on this service. Gary Ballabio, Vice President of Bolt, pointed out that the reliability and security provided by Azure are key cornerstones for the implementation of enterprise applications.
This move is not only an important step in Anthropic's expansion into the enterprise market, but also further enriches Microsoft's diverse AI model ecosystem. With the cutting-edge infrastructure provided by the computing giant NVIDIA, the integration of advanced model quality with top-tier cloud infrastructure is providing a new paradigm for global enterprises to accelerate their transition to production-grade AI performance.
