Artificial intelligence giant OpenAI has released the latest data analysis report for the first quarter of 2026, detailing the latest usage changes in the consumer-grade product ChatGPT. The data shows that the product's global adoption is continuously deepening, with more diverse trends emerging in user age, gender, and geographic distribution.

In terms of language distribution, the usage of non-English languages has expanded in line with the growth of global users. Currently, users who primarily use languages other than English account for more than half of the active users. Among them, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic rank highest among non-English languages, while Africa and Asia are the regions with the fastest growth in weekly active users.

User Usage Depth and Habits Evolve Together

The report also indicates that the longer users have been registered, the more messages they send daily and the more new features they try. Users who have been registered for six months send 50% more messages per day than when they first started. At the same time, the proportion of messages from users aged 35 and above has further increased in the first quarter, showing that the product is gradually breaking through its early geek community.

In work scenarios, although content writing and information processing remain the main activities, the share of more specialized tasks is rapidly increasing. Visual design has become the fastest-growing type of work this quarter, and users are also forming more reusable intelligent workflows in their daily work through consumer accounts.
