Anthropic has officially launched Claude for Microsoft 365, covering Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications. The Outlook version of Claude is also now in public beta, available to all paying users. This new feature aims to help users switch and collaborate more efficiently between different Office applications.

Claude's design philosophy is that much work isn't limited to a single application, so it can seamlessly switch between different software. Users can organize emails in Outlook, open attachments in Word and write memos based on team templates, perform data analysis in Excel, and then convert these analysis results into presentations in PowerPoint. Throughout this process, users don't need to re-explain their work.
Claude also has intelligent email management features. It can categorize emails in the user's Outlook inbox, identify which emails require the user to reply personally, which can be drafted by Claude, and which are spam. Claude will generate reply drafts in the Outlook compose pane, automatically filling in recipients, subject, and body, and users just need to review them and click send.
Currently, Claude for Microsoft 365 is available to all paid plan users on Mac and Windows. The Outlook version of Claude is also available as a Beta version for all paid plans. Administrators can deploy these add-ins from Microsoft AppSource through the Microsoft Admin Center. This new tool will provide users with a more efficient way of working and help them better utilize the features of Microsoft 365.
