Samsung has officially unveiled its ambitious plan to enter the AI glasses category in its recently released first-quarter financial report. Benefiting from the artificial intelligence boom and a strong rebound in memory market demand, Samsung's chip business performed remarkably, with a nearly 50-fold year-on-year increase. At the same time, Samsung warned that due to continued high market demand, supply shortages may persist until 2027.

During the highly anticipated earnings call, Samsung clearly stated that it will launch an intelligent glasses product designed to provide an immersive, multimodal AI experience. This highly anticipated new device may be named "Galaxy Glasses." To build a more mature ecosystem, Samsung plans to equip it with Google's Android XR operating system. This move means that Samsung will officially enter the new smart wearable market and directly compete with Meta, which currently leads the AI glasses market.

In addition to the core glasses product, Samsung has also been active in the audio ecosystem. It is reported that the new Galaxy Buds series of earphones will be launched simultaneously with this AI glasses. Among them, a true wireless earphone codenamed "Galaxy Buds Able" has attracted industry attention. The product is expected to adopt a unique clip design and bone conduction technology, aiming to provide users with a more differentiated wearing experience.

Through these initiatives, Samsung is trying to leverage its deep expertise in chip manufacturing and hardware integration to take the initiative in the next generation of mobile computing driven by AI.
