On April 27, Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, officially began his visit to South Korea. This tightly scheduled and high-level trip saw Hassabis hold in-depth meetings with the President of South Korea as well as top management from leading companies such as Samsung Electronics, LG Group, and Hyundai Motor, aiming to explore deeper strategic cooperation opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

As a leading figure in global AI technology, Hassabis's main goal during this visit is to push AI technology from the cloud to the edge. DeepMind is working on embedding advanced algorithm models into various physical devices, transforming them into tangible and usable productivity tools. South Korean companies, known for their strong industrial capabilities in semiconductors, consumer electronics, and automotive manufacturing, have become ideal partners for DeepMind in co-creation.

Industry analysts believe that these intensive meetings send a strong signal: top global AI computing centers are accelerating their integration with world-class manufacturing industries. Through Hassabis's visit, both sides are expected to achieve practical breakthroughs in areas such as AI chip development, intelligent in-car systems, and home appliance Internet of Things (IoT), jointly opening a new phase of "materialization" of AI technology.
