Adobe recently announced that its new Firefly AI assistant has entered the public beta phase, allowing global users to gradually experience this innovative tool. Initially, Creative Cloud Pro users and users of the Firefly Pro, Pro Plus, and Premium paid plans will be the first to benefit.
The Firefly AI assistant is designed to simplify the creative process for users across multiple Adobe applications. Users can simply describe the desired effect with a prompt, and the Firefly assistant will coordinate operations between applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, Lightroom, and After Effects, ultimately delivering the desired result. This cross-application intelligent assistant greatly reduces the need for users to be familiar with each software, making creative work more efficient.

To further enhance the user experience, Adobe also launched Creative Skills (Creative Skills). These pre-set workflows cover common tasks such as batch photo editing, mood board creation, portrait enhancement, and social media material generation. Unlike traditional filters or templates, these workflows are more like reusable task packages, significantly reducing the need for repetitive operations.
During execution, users can still intervene at any time. Adobe stated that the Firefly AI assistant can handle multi-step actions but will not completely take away the user's creative control. Users can adjust the layout, materials, and visuals at any stage to maintain their existing manual editing habits.
Compared to AI features within a single application, the core advantage of the Firefly AI assistant lies in its cross-application workflow management. It can maintain context, remember the user's previous descriptions and operations, thereby reducing repeated input and ensuring consistency in multi-round modifications.
Adobe also emphasized that the Firefly AI assistant will gradually learn the user's preferences, including commonly used tools and workflows. The context-aware feature allows it to intelligently call based on the current work and temporarily create the required adjustment tools, but it still relies on model judgment and cannot completely replace the user's aesthetic understanding.
