At the iQIYI World Conference held today, founder and CEO Gong Yu delivered a keynote speech, sharing the company's strategies for dealing with the major changes brought by artificial intelligence (AI). He stated that iQIYI will initiate a decentralized transformation, aiming to allow more creators to independently upload their works and participate in content creation.

Gong Yu pointed out that the development of AI technology will significantly reduce the cost and cycle of content production, and the number of creators and their works is expected to increase substantially. He believes that the traditional centralized decision-making model can no longer meet this change, so iQIYI needs to transform into a community platform where creators and users jointly participate. In this new platform, the player's function will be downgraded to a component, and creators can directly generate revenue through membership and advertising.

He mentioned that although iQIYI will continue to use traditional methods for some top-tier content production, the overall direction is to encourage more creators to showcase their creativity. Gong Yu emphasized that iQIYI "begs" for high-quality AI-generated films and stated that the company urgently needs talents who possess both AI technology and artistic creation capabilities to help drive the company's innovative development.

This conference also highlighted the impact of AI on the film and television industry, especially in the long-video sector. Gong Yu believes that within the next one to three years, AI will be widely applied in film and television production, thus changing the industry landscape. iQIYI hopes that through this transformation, it can establish a more open and diverse creative environment, attracting more outstanding creators to join.
