Technology media MacRumors disclosed on April 16 that by digging into the backend code of iOS 27 Beta, it found at least four new Apple Intelligence features that Apple is planning to introduce. These updates not only focus on the practical application of AI but also hint that Apple's Visual Intelligence is paving the way for future smart glasses, camera-equipped AirPods, and other wearable hardware ecosystems.

In terms of core capability upgrades, Visual Intelligence will add two deep interaction features: first, Nutrition Label Recognition, where the system can automatically scan and extract data from food packaging and synchronize it with the "Health" app for automated dietary tracking; second, Printed Information Recognition, which supports directly extracting phone numbers or addresses from printed materials and adding them to the contacts with one click, further improving upon the previous limitation that only dates could be recognized.
Additionally, Apple Wallet will introduce Physical Coupon Digital Scanning, using AI image recognition to quickly convert event tickets, membership cards, and other items into digital passes; Safari browser will also get Smart Tag Group Naming, automatically generating classification names based on the theme of the web pages in the group, optimizing the management experience for a large number of tabs.
Although these four features are still in the stage of code inference, combined with Apple's plan to achieve deeper and cross-app integration of Siri in iOS 27, their practical application prospects look highly promising. Apple is expected to officially release iOS 27 at its WWDC 2026 developer conference in June, and the official version will be released alongside the next generation of iPhones in September.
