Shopify announced a series of AI-focused updates on Monday, including the early release of the AI chatbot 'Sidekick'. Sidekick is designed to assist merchants by helping them create discount codes, generate store reports, and suggest blog post ideas.
Amazon has launched an AI shopping assistant named Rufus to help users make better shopping decisions. Rufus learns from Amazon's product database, user reviews, and web information to provide answers, comparisons, and suggestions for product-related inquiries. Currently, Rufus is in the testing phase, with plans to gradually expand its user base.
