According to Sina Technology, the Body Business Department of Alibaba's subsidiary AutoNavi has recently made a major breakthrough and is about to launch its first hardware product - a quadruped robot. Notably, this is not only AutoNavi's first attempt at productizing robots, but also the first embodied robot product launched by Alibaba Group.

This release marks an accelerated phase in AutoNavi's layout in the field of embodied intelligence. Since the official establishment of the Body Business Department in January this year, AutoNavi has been active, releasing its self-developed embodied navigation base model "ABot-N0" and embodied operation base model "ABot-M0" in February, achieving the world's first "dual SOTA" performance in embodied navigation and operation.

It is reported that the department's exploration directions cover various cutting-edge forms such as humanoid robots and robotic dogs. Relying on its deep experience in map navigation, AutoNavi has built the largest embodied navigation data engine in the industry and has made substantial breakthroughs in long-range complex task processing capabilities, enabling robots to achieve advanced functions such as cross-scene delivery and follow-up services in open physical environments.

Industry analysts believe that AutoNavi's transition from software models to hardware entities reflects Alibaba Group's strategic intention to transform "spatial intelligence" into "embodied applications." The technological advantages in long-range complex tasks and dynamic environment perception will help AutoNavi form a unique "navigation + embodied" differentiated competitiveness in the competitive robot market. With the launch of its first quadruped robot, Alibaba's AI landscape has officially expanded from a purely digital space to the real world with physical interaction capabilities.
