OpenAI recently announced the full launch of a new "Application Integration" feature on the ChatGPT mobile and web versions, marking the assistant's transition from a single chat interface to an ecosystem platform. According to AIbase, this feature allows users to directly connect third-party accounts such as Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, and Canva to ChatGPT, enabling it to perform complex commands across platforms, such as creating playlists, ordering meals, hailing a car, and automating design tasks.

This update covers multiple dimensions, including lifestyle services, productivity tools, and education travel. In daily life scenarios, U.S. users can use the DoorDash integration for one-click meal planning and automatic shopping, or use Uber and Uber Eats to book a car and order food in real time; for travel, the integration of Booking.com, Expedia, and Zillow allows users to filter hotels, flights, and housing directly within the chat window. For work and study, Canva enables users to generate initial design drafts through descriptions, Figma supports generating roadmaps and flowcharts, and Wix allows building websites directly from text instructions. Additionally, the integration of Quizlet and Coursera further strengthens its capabilities as an intelligent learning assistant.

Although this feature is currently limited to the United States and Canada, OpenAI has confirmed that more partners such as PayPal and Walmart will be added by 2026. AIbase
