At the recent European Integrated Systems Exhibition (ISE), Cisco launched a range of new collaboration hardware that deeply integrates AI, aiming to transform meeting rooms, desks, and frontline work environments into "edge infrastructure" that IT teams can manage. Espen Loberg, Vice President of Cisco Collaboration Products, noted that these devices are at the "last mile" where AI meets the physical world, capable of processing intelligent information directly at the edge.
The core products in this update include:
Room Kit Pro G2: Designed for complex audio-visual environments, it integrates the Nvidia Jetson AI computing platform, with 25 times the AI processing power of its predecessor. This device supports up to 7 4K cameras, enables audio and video transmission over Ethernet (AVoIP), and is the first to receive Microsoft Teams certification.
Desk Pro G2: Designed for individual and small collaboration spaces, it features dual 48-megapixel cameras and a 27-inch 4K interactive display, offering an executive-level remote presence experience.
Wireless Phone 9821: A rugged handheld terminal designed for frontline environments such as hospitals and warehouses, it uses Wi-Fi 6E technology, supports ultra-low latency voice communication, and integrates Agentic AI.
In addition, Cisco also previewed the AI assistant integration feature in Control Hub. In the future, IT administrators will be able to ask about device operational health, room utilization, and other data using natural language through tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT. It is reported that the Room Kit Pro G2 and Wireless Phone 9821 are expected to be shipped in the second quarter of 2026.
