With the popularity of AI generation technology, behaviors that use related tools to fabricate false or vulgar content for attention are being severely punished by law. According to IT Home, the Jinjiang Branch of Chengdu Public Security Bureau recently reported a typical case: a man was administratively detained for intentionally using AI technology to create and release vulgar videos that defamed Chengdu landmarks online.

According to the investigation by the police, the person who violated the law, Jiang Mengjing, is the head of a cultural media company in Chongqing. In order to gain online attention and attract traffic, he used AI tools to generate multiple vulgar content videos involving multiple landmarks in Chengdu, even though he knew that such content would cause improper associations. To further create topics, he also added misleading text in the videos for dissemination.

The police pointed out that Jiang Mengjing's behavior seriously disrupted the normal online order and caused a bad social impact, constituting a public disturbance. At present, the police have made an administrative detention decision against him and shut down the relevant online accounts under his name. This case once again serves as a warning to industry practitioners: AI technology should be used for content innovation, not as a "traffic tool" that crosses the bottom line.
