Baichuan Intelligence held a media briefing today to officially launch its new open-source medical-enhanced large language model, Baichuan-M3. The model ranked first in four core evaluations: diagnostic ability, medical hallucination control, Healthbench, and Healthbench Hard. Its performance surpassed OpenAI's GPT-5.2, and it outperformed human doctors in all testing scenarios.

Wang Xiaochuan stated at the event that when he started his business in 2023, there were still doubts in the market, but the team firmly believed that the AI era had arrived. He pointed out that after DeepSeek's release in 2025, the acceptance of AI among the medical community significantly increased, "people also think this is much more reliable than Baidu."

With giants like OpenAI and Anthropic increasingly focusing on the healthcare sector, Wang Xiaochuan believes that "AI in healthcare has begun to enter the application stage and has become the main direction of AI applications."
