The Shenzhen 2026 Project Construction Site Promotion Meeting was officially held, announcing the simultaneous start of 222 key projects across the city. The total investment in these projects reaches 157.34 billion yuan, covering multiple key areas such as industrial development, infrastructure construction, and social livelihood, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

In terms of investment layout across districts, Nanshan District stood out particularly, ranking first in the city with 30 projects started and a total investment of 30.99 billion yuan. Among these projects, the "General Headquarters for Video-related Technology R&D", known as Douyin's second headquarters, officially commenced construction in Yehai Street, Nanshan District.

According to the information, this project is positioned as a cluster of video-related R&D industries and new business headquarters in the Greater Bay Area. Upon completion, it will focus on supporting the technology research and development of core products such as Douyin and Toutiao, and will also carry out the expansion of emerging businesses such as payments. At the same time, the project will also build the ByteDance AI Lab Research Center and the SaaS Platform Service Center. This move not only signifies further deepening of Douyin Group's layout in Shenzhen, but also will effectively promote the aggregation and development of the robot industry cluster in Nanshan District.

In fact, this is the second time within a short period that Douyin Group has heavily invested in Shenzhen. In July 2025, the first regional headquarters built and held by Douyin Group - Houpai Center - was put into use. The establishment of this second headquarters once again proves the long-term confidence of leading enterprises in Shenzhen's innovative business environment. Currently, Shenzhen has attracted nearly 400 city-level headquarters companies, including Xiaomi, Walmart, and CR Microelectronics, forming a highly scaled "Headquarters Economic Corridor".
