Microsoft is preparing a major interface overhaul for its Edge browser. According to the latest development progress, Microsoft has introduced a new design language in the Canary and Dev early test versions of Edge, aiming to widely integrate the unique visual style of Copilot into the browser.

This update is not just a simple accumulation of features, but a deep "visual rebranding." The core interface of Edge browser—including the settings page, right-click menu, and new tab page—will adopt the same color scheme and font as Copilot, with more rounded window and control corners. Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft's AI leader, said that Microsoft's approach is "evolving the existing browser," rather than creating a new AI product, with the ultimate goal of presenting an "integrated" AI interaction experience.

Notably, this design style has been greatly influenced by the Inflection AI team, with visual characteristics highly similar to Pi AI assistant. As Copilot elements are fully integrated into Edge, the browser's AI positioning will become more distinct, marking Microsoft's gradual alignment of its entire product line's UI logic toward an AI experience.
