Amazon has introduced a new AI technology called "Automatic Vehicle Detection," which can identify issues on delivery vehicles such as deformed tires and worn chassis, aiming to enhance the safety of drivers' journeys. This technology, developed in collaboration with startup UVeye, has been rolled out in multiple countries. It can track detected issues, providing insights for fleet management. The new technology will improve the reliability of Amazon's delivery services, ensuring packages are delivered on time, and also contributes to the safety of the nearly 280,000 delivery drivers employed by Amazon.
