According to recent information released by Alibaba Cloud, its independently developed Tongyi series models were applied on a large scale for the first time during this year's "Singles' Day" shopping festival, marking the deep integration of AI large models in the e-commerce field.

Taobao and Tmall have fully adopted AI large model technology in key areas such as consumer experience, e-commerce operations, and traffic distribution. Among them, the Tongyi series models played a central role in cross-language transactions and information processing.
Alibaba Cloud specifically pointed out that multiple translation models, including Tongyi Qwen-MT, undertook a large amount of translation tasks such as image descriptions, user reviews, and product details for billions of items. During the Singles' Day period, the daily call volume of these translation models successfully exceeded 1.4 billion times, a remarkable number that highlights the strong efficiency and practical value of AI large models in handling high-concurrency and large-scale data tasks in e-commerce.
